Code of Conduct
NYC Mac Admins is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form, at meetups or in our online spaces.
The short version
Be kind. Be professional. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of role, employer, experience level, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.
The longer version
- Harassment includes offensive comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, unwelcome photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
- Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
- Sponsors and speakers are also subject to this policy.
- Vendor pitches: sponsors and vendors are part of our community, but meetups are not sales floors. Keep it technical and useful.
Reporting
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, contact the organizers at info@nycmacadmins.com or find an organizer at the meetup. Reports are handled confidentially.
Organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the meetup and community spaces.
Adapted from community conference anti-harassment policies used across the Mac Admins community.
